To be honest, the idea isnt actually that original - I've written a short where two people start a conversation with signs between office buildings before myself :P They're massively different in plot as well as execution, so I wouldn't assume they are similar for any reason other than its a fairly simple, cute idea with lots of potential to build on. Paperman is beautiful :) Adore the characters xx
